I’m Natural, Now What?! A Guide To Natural Hair.

Welcome to the natural hair family!

First, we want you to know that you are now permanently and forever part of the good hair club. Yep, it’s official. Regardless of what any own has told you, your hair is good hair. You can leave words like nappy and bad hair at the door. Your hair is versatile and magical, sugar and spice and all things nice.  Yes, yours. Your hair is like a fingerprint. It is unique.

Heard of the LOC method? No? Okay.  LOC stands for Liquid, Oil and Cream. Some naturals use the LCO or LOCO method. You can use whatever works for your hair. This ain’t nobody’s hair but yours boo!

LIQUID/ Leave-in-conditioner

Spray your hair with your leave in conditioner, or make your own with some water, avocado oil and essential oil. (Natural hair loves moisture).

We usually mix some essential oils together and make a hot oil treatment.  Make a lot, once a month, so you can save it for later. We work the oil through our hair and scalp, and focus on your ends, since they are the oldest part of your hair.

Lather your hair in a thick butter or cream like mango, cocoa or shea butter. And now for the fun part: Choose a quick protective style like Bantu knots, two strand twists or braids and wrap your head in a plastic or shower cap for 30 minutes. You can wash this out or keep it in for a week before doing it again.
